(a.) Any *warping which extends less than 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) from the door’s plane.

(b.) An increase less than 1/16 inch (1.59 mm) in the length or width of the door.

(c.) Doors less than 1-1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in thickness are excluded from this Warranty.

(d.) Any 1-3/4 inch (4.45 cm) thick door with a height taller than 8 feet (2.44 m) or a width exceeding 3-1/2 feet (1.07 m) shall not be warranted against warping or bowing.

(e.) Doors incorrectly hung and not freely swinging.

(f.) Doors which do not have all surface areas; including all six sides, protected and sealed, immediately before or after hanging.

(g.) Bowing or nonalignment of the door frame or the door jamb.

(h.) Any hardware installation which could alter the door’s structural integrity.

(i.) Damages resulting from a failure to follow normally prescribed homeowner maintenance protocols.

(j.) Inconsistent or undesired results in general appearance, texture or gloss caused by the application of finishes, stains or paints.

(k.) Naturally occurring variations in surface texture, color or checking of the wood.

(l.) Any damages resulting from causes beyond the control of Seller such as; but not limited to, mishandling, extremes of weather, negligence, abuse, fire, natural acts, flooding, accident, misuse and water sprinklers.

(m.) Exterior doors used in conjunction with an un-vented glass storm door are not covered due to extreme heat creation between exterior door and glass storm door.

(n.) Doors exposed to direct sunlight and which are painted, stained or finished in any exceptionally dark color.

(o.) Doors which are field-finished.

(p.) Doors which are not protected by an overhead covering; such as a portico, that extends 1.5 feet for every foot in height of the door.

*Warping is understood to mean bowing, cupping or twisting of the door itself and does not refer to the relationship between the door and the jamb or frame from which the door is hung. Warping is quantitatively defined as being the maximum distance from a straightedge, placed along the length of a door’s concave side, to the surface of the door. Note—if the defect claimed is warping, Seller may defer any repairs or replacements for up to one year from the date of the initial claim in order to allow the door to acclimate naturally to ambient temperature and humidity conditions. Any such deferment by Seller will not weigh against (toll) the one year limited Warranty period.
