CUSTOM DOOR WARRANTY

Targhee Trading Company LLC (Seller) warrants that for one year, on a limited basis and commencing from the time of shipment from the factory, that its products (doors) are of good material, good workmanship and are free of defects which would cause them to be unsuitable for their recommended use. Such Warranty is conditional upon the Purchaser and / or the Purchaser’s customer(s) complying with the Recommended Door Care Instructions as detailed below. All doors exit our manufacturer’s plant only after having been fully inspected for defects in both material and workmanship. And all doors are packaged in a manner to protect them during shipment.

If a warranted door is discovered within the one year warranty period to be defective as defined above, the Seller shall, at its sole discretion, elect to:

(a.) repair the door without cost,

(b.) replace the door without cost; in the same state of finishing as it was when originally shipped, or

(c.) refund the full purchase price of the door upon receipt of the defective door. If the replacement option is selected, Seller will ship the replacement door(s) to Purchaser on a pre-paid basis.

Purchaser shall inspect the products furnished immediately after delivery. If upon receipt of the doors by Purchaser, a reasonably conducted inspection reveals any legitimate door defects, Purchaser must, within thirty days of receipt of the doors and before the door is hung or altered in any manner, notify the Seller in writing that such defects exist and briefly describe the nature of the defects. This Warranty excludes any refinishing, labor or installation costs.

Before effecting any repair or refund, Seller reserves the right to conduct, either by itself or through a Seller’s Agent, an on-site inspection of the door(s) claimed to be defective. Final inspection, at the option of the Seller, may occur at Seller’s location.

Seller must pre-authorize for shipment any doors being returned by Purchaser for processing. Any refund due Purchaser for any defective doors will be processed only upon Seller’s receipt of the defective door(s). To expedite credit processing, any door(s) being returned by Purchaser to Seller as being defective must be properly packaged by Purchaser in a manner which prevents additional damage. Proper packaging is understood to consist of an appropriate pallet; protective coverings for the door’s tops and edges; and the door being ideally stacked edgewise – not leaned. If doors are not properly packaged for return shipping, the Warranty may be voided.

Should the doors become unusable through mishandling or damage by Purchaser, the Seller shall consider such circumstances as not constituting a legitimate claim and Warranty shall not apply.

Seller realizes that warrantable incidents are often not apparent until well after installation. And as many small, apparent defects may be treatable, again, please carefully inspect each door upon receipt and prior to machining. Please note that any machining of the door shall constitute an acceptance of the door by Purchaser and that any minor flaws or defects that may exist at the time of machining shall not be considered as being defective or claimable once such machining has been completed.

Wood is a natural material subject to naturally occurring changes caused by such factors as sunlight, temperature and humidity; which in turn, may affect such properties as color, texture, luster, checking and overall surface appearance. Such naturally occurring changes shall not be regarded as comprising a defect. Minor shrinkage or cupping may occur naturally and may in turn cause miniscule joint cracks. Such miniscule joint cracks are not considered flaws.

Seller will fully support our customers with a fair warranty which covers legitimate defects in materials or workmanship; based upon reasonable industry standards. Our position regarding the evaluation of warranty claims shall always be objective; with a view towards satisfying our customers. However, our customers must realize that our Warranty can not and does not categorically apply to every possible problem which may arise. Therefore, we request that our customers please contact us in advance of any purchase should they require any further information regarding the terms and conditions of our Warranty as it may relate to any problems which our customers may anticipate. We are happy to clarify and answer your questions.
